                Appointment of Director & Resignation of Director

Carpathian Resources Limited ("Carpathian") (AIM Code: CPNR, ASX Code: CPN)
announces the appointment of Mr John Phillip Arbuckle as a non-executive
Director and the resignation of Douglas Jendry as non-executive Director
effective today.

John Arbuckle is a CPA with extensive experience in the mining industry in
Australia and overseas. He has considerable experience in developing financial
and risk management strategies for mining companies and the implementation of
accounting controls and systems.

The information required to be disclosed in accordance with the AIM rules, with
respect to the appointment of Mr Arbuckle to the Carpathian Board, is set out in
Appendix 1.

The board wishes to express it thanks and gratitude to Mr Jendry for his loyal
service to Carpathian.
