BOARD APPOINTMENT
City & Merchant Group plc ("City & Merchant" or "the Company") is pleased to announce
the appointment of Michael Mills as a new Non -Executive director of the Company with
immediate effect.

Michael is a chartered accountant and has held senior financial roles in major plcs and
has been involved in acquisitions, disposals, restructuring and joint ventures. He spent
five years as director of Apax Partners in private equity and has since been involved in
several turnarounds. His career has covered several sectors including technology,
software, engineering, service and distribution, paper & packaging, food and textiles.

Michael was formerly Chairman of Advance Value Realisation, an investment trust,
Chairman of RMR plc and is currently a Non-Executive director of a number of companies,
including
New Europe Property Investment plc, and Ultrasis plc, both of which are AIM listed
companies
