Redland PLC Medium Term Notes Programme

Redland PLC was acquired by Lafarge SA in December 1997 and its shares were
delisted in February 1998 and the company is now non trading. Lafarge (UK)
Services Limited is now responsible for all Treasury functions of Redland PLC.

Having spoken to the company concerned and with their agreement, we wish to
apply to delist the Medium Term Floating Rate Notes as listed below 20 business
days from the date of this announcement.

ISIN XS0080640831 issued to Deuthcher Bank for US$15,000,000, maturing 25 
September 2002. 

ISIN XS0080641052 issued to Lehman Bros for DM10,000,000, maturing 24 September 
2002.
