Bullough plc ("Bullough" or the "Company") - Intention to join AIM

The Board of Bullough today announces its intention to move from the Official
List of the London Stock Exchange (the "Official List") to the Alternative
Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange ("AIM").

Application will be made shortly for all the Company's issued share capital to
be admitted to trading on AIM, and it is anticipated that dealings will commence
on 7 October 2002 and that the Company's Official Listing will be cancelled on
the same day. Trading in the shares may then be conducted in the same way as on
the main market, through a broker.

The AIM market is more suited to the current size of the Company than the
Official List and the directors believe that it is appropriate for the Company
to move to AIM to reflect this and to take advantage of this greater degree of
flexibility. The lower costs of maintaining a quotation on AIM and the less
onerous requirements will lead to cost savings. The move to AIM will not impact
the conduct of the business nor its corporate governance.

There is no requirement for an AIM admission document to be published by the
Company. So far as is known to the directors, with the exception of shares held
in a Personal Equity Plan or an Individual Savings Account, the transfer to AIM
will in no way affect their ability to buy or sell shares in Bullough and
existing share certificates will remain valid.

Shareholders should be aware that companies listed on AIM are deemed to be
unlisted for the purpose of certain areas of taxation law, which may be of
benefit to them. However, shareholders should consult their independent
financial advisers on this point.

Old Mutual Securities, the Company's existing financial adviser, has agreed to
act as nominated adviser and broker for the Company.
