BETA GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC 
(IN MEMBERS' VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION)

The Joint Liquidators of Beta Global Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc are 
pleased to announce that third distribution to shareholders in the liquidation 
is 10p per Ordinary Share. The cheques will be issued to shareholders in January
2002.

The Joint Liquidators have posted their report to shareholders today.
