 Beta Global Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC (the
                       "Company")

The Company has become aware that a number of
shareholders who together hold a majority of the voting
rights in the Company have expressed a strong desire to
realise their investment in the Company at a value
reflecting the underlying value of the Company's
portfolio.

Accordingly, the Company's directors are considering the
options available to it, including a specific proposal,
and expect to make a further announcement in due course.
