LETTERS TO BIG FOOD GROUP PLC - DATED 24th OCTOBER 2002

Section 198 Companies Act 1985

We hereby give notice pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 
(the "Act") that:

1.  This notification relates to the ordinary share capital of The Big Food
    Group plc.

2.  On 24th October 2002, we acquired an interest in 24,750,000 ordinary shares
    in The Big Food Group plc.

3.  So far as we know the current registered holder of the shares to which this
    notification relates is A Holding S.A.

Section 198 Companies Act 1985

We hereby give notice pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 
(the "Act") that:

1.  This notification relates to the ordinary share capital of The Big Food
    Group plc.

2.  On 24th October, 2002, we acquired an interest in 26,676,945 ordinary shares
    in The Big Food Group plc through an arrangement between A Holding SA and
    Kaupthing Bank hf.

3.  So far as we know the current registered holder of the shares to which this
    notification relates is Kaupthing Bank hf.

2.  On 24th October, 2002, we acquired an interest in 24,750,000 ordinary shares
    in The Big Food Group plc through A Holding SA.

3.  So far as we know the current registered holder of the shares to which this
    notification relates is A Holding S.A.
