HOLDING IN COMPANY                               


Pursuant to the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency
Rules, the Company received notification on 25 October 2007 from Mrs A Perham
that, following the purchase of 6,000,000 Avid shares she now holds 18,000,000
ordinary shares representing approximately 4.79 per cent. of the Company's
issued share capital.

The issued share capital of the Company is 375,666,665 ordinary shares of 0.5
pence per share.
