Appointment of New Chairman

As previously disclosed, Mr Giles Nixon (68), the Company's non-executive
Chairman, announced at the May Annual General Meeting his intention to step
down from the position he has held since the Company's flotation in 1997 in
the autumn of this year.  The Company announces with immediate effect the
retirement of Mr Nixon and his succession as non-executive Chairman by Mr E.
C. (Ted) Dilley (61) who has been a non-executive director of the Company
since 1999.
