Re:  Allotment of 75, 100 shares against exercise of Employees Stock Options

We have to inform you that pursuant to the Resolutions passed by Circular dated
February 9, 2006, by the Shareholders/Investors Grievance Committee,



12,600 shares were allotted against exercise of Stock Options granted to
employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2001,

4,750 shares were allotted against exercise of Stock Options granted to
employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2002,

31,550 shares were allotted against exercise of Stock Options granted to
employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2003 and

26,200 shares were allotted against exercise of Stock Options granted to
employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2004.



Consequently, the paid up Share Capital of the Company has increased from
18,54,38,744 shares to 18,55,13,844 shares of Rs.10/- face value, as of date.
The Company will shortly be filing applications for listing/trading permission
in respect of these shares.
