APPLIED INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL LIMITED 
Trading Update 
Applied Intellectual Capital Limited ("AIC") (AIM: AINC) funds, develops, 
patents and commercializes electrochemical and advanced separations technologies 
in clean energy, electricity storage, water treatment, metals recovery and other 
emerging markets. AIC today provides the following trading and market update. 
 
 
TRADING UPDATE 
 
 
There is no change to the information provided previously on EverClear Solutions 
Inc., RedOx and new technology development. 
 
 
Discussions are continuing with a Chinese group with a view to establishing the 
first commercial production facility for AIC's BLAB transport batteries. A 
number of logistical and other factors have combined to set the targeted 
timetable back by about a month, but the Company still believes that a 
transaction should close in the near future. 
 
 
Discussions with ITI Scotland Ltd. (ITI) about the GBP3.86 million debt owed to 
ITI by AIC and about the future of Plurion Ltd. are ongoing. To facilitate this 
continuing dialogue, ITI has agreed to extend the payment period on the debt to 
1st July 2009 and to waive interest accruing on the balance from 1st February 
2009 onwards. The Board believes AIC will be able to reach a timely and 
acceptable resolution of these matters. 
 
 
The strict cost containment measures, as announced on 15 January 2009, are being 
implemented whilst the Company continues to hold discussions with a number of 
potential partners to fund and develop its technologies. 
 
 
LISTING ON AIM 
 
 
As announced previously, the Company has been evaluating and taking advice on 
strategic options to preserve and re-build shareholder value. The Board has 
concluded that, in its best judgement, it would be in the best interests of all 
shareholders to seek to cancel the Company's admission to AIM. More information 
on the recommendation is contained in a separate announcement which is being 
released today. 
 
 
 
 
PUBLICATION OF ACCOUNTS 
 
 
AIC's year end 2008 accounts were published on 15th January 2009 (as announced 
on that date).
