    Applied Intellectual Capital ("AIC")

    Successful Testing of Prototype Battery

    Manufacturing Negotiations Commenced

AIC is pleased to announce the successful initial prototype testing of a Starter Lighting and Ignition (SLI) battery, utilising its
proprietary Bipolar Lead Acid Battery technology ("B-LAB"). The global market for automotive SLI batteries is estimated to be approximately
$25 Billion, in which conventional lead acid batteries currently account for nearly all sales.

AIC's B-LAB technology has three main advantages over conventional lead acid batteries. First, the heavy internal lead grids and top
connectors have been eliminated, which significantly reduces both the weight and size of the device. Second, the active materials are
configured to allow very high levels of utilization (discharge); and third, the current path is arranged to provide greatly reduced internal
resistance. The net result is much higher power output from a significantly lighter and smaller battery.

Configured as a zero maintenance unit, AIC's prototypes weigh just 1kg and deliver more than 3600W/kg of peak power. This compares to a
conventional SLI battery which typically weighs 12kg and delivers 180W/kg.

Importantly, the combination of exceptionally low internal resistance, active material configuration and the immunity to thermal
runaway, allow the battery to be charged repeatedly from fully discharged without significant loss of capacity or life.

AIC's prototype units take as little as 5 minutes to charge from fully discharged and are compatible with repeated high power charge and
discharge cycles. This is in stark contrast to conventional SLI batteries where several hours are required to fully recharge from flat and
where just a few deep discharges will shorten the operating life.

AIC is working to optimize its B-LAB technology for full scale production. As part of this activity, AIC has entered into negotiations
with a large Chinese based manufacturing partner.

AIC is also evaluating its B-LAB technology for electric motorcycles and Hybrid Electric Vehicle applications where its low weight, high
power and rapid charging could offer significant advantages.

Dr. Stephen Clarke, CEO of AIC, commented:

"AIC has again been able to successfully deploy funds that it raised at IPO, on what we believe is a high priority and high growth
market area. In less than 18 months, we have been able to achieve tremendous progress. This is a testament to our belief in
multi-disciplinary teams and rapid prototyping and is further support for our business model."
