The Company announced on 3 November 2006 that it was re-examining its strategic
options following some constructive discussions with major shareholders.

The Board of August Equity Trust plc intends to approve and release the
preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2006 following finalisation 
of the review of its strategic options.
