                             Aspen Clean Energy Plc

                            Result of Court Hearing

At the Court hearing held earlier today, the Court approved the Reduction of
Capital and Reduction of Share Premium Account, details of which were contained
in the circular to shareholders dated 14 June 2006.

Following approval by the Court the Company is now able to proceed with the
return of capital to shareholders of approximately #10 million.

Dealings in the existing ordinary shares will be cancelled today and dealings in
the 69,474,500 new Ordinary Shares under new ISIN GB00B17M5331 are expected to
commence trading on 27 July 2006 and the crediting of CREST accounts in respect
of such shares is expected to be on the same date.

The despatch of cheques in respect of the return of capital and share
certificates in respect of the new Ordinary Shares is expected to take place by
3 August 2006.
