                With Respect to its Extendible Short Term Notes

    Initially Due on October 19, 2007 and with a Final Maturity Date of 
                               October 19, 2011

                     Bearing the Original CUSIP: 12802LAA6


The purpose of this notice it to inform that pursuant to the terms of our
U.S.$3,500,000,000 Extendible Short Term Notes (the "Notes"), holders of
U.S.$1,435,000,000 of Notes have elected to extend the maturity of the Notes as
of the extension election date of 19 October 2007 and holders of
U.S.$500,000,000 of Notes have elected to extend the maturity of the Notes as of
the extension election date of 22 January 2008. Accordingly, U.S.$2,065,000,000
aggregate principal amount of Notes will have a maturity of August 12, 2008,
which shall be referenced by ISIN US12802LAE83 and U.S.$935,000,000 aggregate
principal amount of Notes will have a maturity of 12 November 2008, which shall
be referenced by ISIN US12802LAF5X.
