Vestas Wind Systems AS said Wednesday that board member Kim Hvid Thomsen, who was elected by the company's employees, has announced he will step down from the board effective April 30.

The Danish wind-turbine maker said Claus Skov Christensen, currently alternate, will succeed Mr. Thomsen on the board effective May 1.
