Sir Steven Saxton, Chief Executive Officer of Hollywood Studios International (PINKSHEETS: HYWS), announced today that entertainment industry veteran Eric Christenson has joined the company as President of Acquisitions and Distribution. In his new post, Mr. Christenson will be responsible for building and managing a high-profile foreign sales operation for the company as well as managing all its international distribution activities.

For more than 20 years, Eric Christenson has participated in every aspect of film development, financing, production, distribution, marketing and business affairs. Throughout a distinguished career in which he licensed films that have received 42 Academy Award nominations, he has maintained excellent working relationships at studio, mini-major, agency and producer levels within the film industry. He most recently consulted for Voltage Pictures, where he licensed current Academy Award favorite "The Hurt Locker" as well as "The Whistleblower" starring Rachel Weisz, and Robert Redford's upcoming project "The Company You Keep."

From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Christenson was President of Sales & Distribution for Academy Award-winner Graham King's Initial Entertainment Group/GK Films, where he ran the independent division and handled all distribution operations. During that time, he managed the sales and distribution of Martin Scorsese's "The Departed," "The Aviator," and "Gangs of New York." Mr. Christenson also introduced and licensed two Nicolas Cage vehicles, "Next" and "Bangkok Dangerous." He also pre-sold "The Young Victoria," which is currently in release in the U.S. Other titles he licensed include Steven Soderbergh's "Traffic," Michael Mann's "Ali," Peter Berg's "Very Bad Things" and Lasse Hallstrom's "An Unfinished Life."

Mr. Christenson was one of the founders and owners of Myriad Pictures, where as EVP of Sales and Distribution he licensed films including "Kinsey," "The Good Girl," "Dungeons & Dragons," and "National Lampoon's Van Wilder." In addition, he managed the licensing of a 150-picture catalog (formerly J&M Entertainment) that included Lasse Hallstrom's "What's Eating Gilbert Grape." Mr. Christenson also served stints as Vice President of Worldwide Distribution for Behaviour Worldwide, Director of International Distribution for MDP Worldwide, and Manager of International Distribution for Vision International.
