Danone Says No Decision Made on Russia Activities, But All Options Are on Table

Danone SA hasn't made a decision to exit Russia but all options are on the table regarding its business in the country, the company said Tuesday.

"Danone's position regarding its activities in Russia has not changed. All options are on the table and the group is monitoring the situation in close collaboration with the French government," it said.

Earlier Tuesday, Reuters reported that the French food company was looking at possible ways to withdraw from Russia as Europe prepares to impose more sanctions on Moscow, citing an unnamed source.

In late March, Danone said it would maintain its local production of essential dairy and infant nutrition products in Russia, but that it had ceased non-essential imports and exports and wasn't taking any cash, dividends of profits out of its business in the country.
