("StrikePoint Gold Inc.")(TSXV:  SKP) the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Harris as a new independent director to its Board. Mr. Harris is a mining engineer with over 20 years of mining experience. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Country Manager of Corriente Resources in Ecuador and directly involved in the operations and negotiations that led to the sale of Corriente for $690M USD.

Mr. Harris will bring a strong background of project management, strategic management and technical skills to the Board of StrikePoint.
