TORONTO,
Feb. 24, 2014 /CNW/ - Red Tiger
Mining Inc., (TSXV: RMN), (the "Company" or "Red Tiger")
announces that Thomas Utter, the
former CEO of the Company and the Chairman of the Board of
Directors, passed away suddenly on Saturday night after suffering
from a heart related ailment.
"Our Company has lost a talented, dedicated and
passionate leader who made an unforgettable mark on the lives of
his colleagues, family and friends, and we are deeply saddened by
his death," said Mr. Robert Wunder,
CEO of the Company. "Thomas was a gifted and experienced executive,
who not only founded and led the growth of Red Tiger, but acted as a respected mentor and
inspiration to his team."
In 1998, Thomas was instrumental in
re-organizing Norway-based Zaruma
Gold ASA, took-over management control, and in 2000 successfully
led the Company to a listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Thomas studied Geology at the University of
Frankfurt (Germany), held a Ph.D. in Geochemistry and an
Honorary Professorship at the Technical University of Darmstadt
(Germany), where he gave courses
in Economic Geology.
