Pioneering Technology's Patented
Safe-T-element Cooking System is the Only Technology Available
Today that Controls High End Heat on Electric Coil
Ranges
MONTGOMERY, AL, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Pioneering
Technology Corp. (TSX-V: PTE) (OTCBB: PTEFF), ("Pioneering"), an
energy smart product innovation/consumer goods company, and the
Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs ("SEAFC"), a division of
the International Association of Fire Chiefs ("IAFC"), announced
today that on June 16th the SEAFC
board of directors passed a resolution in support of "high end heat
limiting technology" on electric coil ranges and further supports a
modification of state and federal agency regulations to allow for
new fire safety technology to be utilized and promoted in an effort
to reduce/eliminate stovetop cooking fires.
The SEAFC is represented by the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North
Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Virginia, West
Virginia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Douglas Cline, President of the SEAFC said of
the resolution, "Cooking fires are one of the leading causes of
fires across the United States.
The Southeastern Association of Fire Chief's recognizes the need
for proactive approaches in preventing fires and reducing civilian
injuries. This technology, if embraced, will have a significant
impact on this component of the fire problem."
Pioneering's patented Safe-T-element cooking system is the only
technology available today that provides high end heat limiting
capabilities for electric coiled ranges. This technology has a
track record of success helping to prevent stove top cooking fires
while also saving energy. Available on new ranges or as a retrofit,
this technology is now installed on over 50,000 ranges in
multi-residential housing throughout North America helping to eliminate the number
one cause of household fire.
The SEAFC unanimously passed the following official resolution
in support of "high end heat limiting technology" for electric
coiled ranges:
WHEREAS, Cooking equipment is the leading cause of
residential fires and home fire injuries in the United States; and
WHEREAS, Unattended cooking and combustibles too close to
the cooking surface, such as towels, paper products, etc., are
major contributing factors to these fires; and
WHEREAS, Unattended cooking is the leading factor
contributing to cooking fires; and
WHEREAS, Cooking fires are the leading cause of home fire
injuries, These fires accounted for 40% of all reported home
structure fires and 36% of home civilian injuries; and
WHEREAS, Ranges are the leading type of cooking equipment
involved in these fires; and
WHEREAS, Education and code enforcement alone have not
yielded the desired results when it comes to elimination cooking
fires; and
WHEREAS, Tested affordable technology for electric coil
ranges exist to significantly reduce the number of these fires and
burned food incidents by reducing the high end temperature at which
burners operate with no appreciable difference in cooking times or
quality; and
WHEREAS, High-end heat regulation technology currently
available reduces the amount of energy used by the range by as much
as 50%;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Southeastern
Association of Fire Chiefs supports this cooking system technology
and further supports a modification of state and federal agency
regulations to allow for new fire safety technology to be utilized
and will promote it in an effort to reduce or eliminate stovetop
cooking fires.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the President of the Southeastern
Association of Fire Chiefs has hereunto subscribed his name and has
caused the Official Seal of the Association to be hereunto affixed
on this 16th day of June 2011.
Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan

fire problem, accidental or otherwise, in the United States better than the fire
service. These are the men and women who put themselves in harm's
way everyday to help protect us all. The numbers are staggering and
we are very pleased to be working with them in their efforts to
eliminate the number one cause of household fire."
