MONARCH ENERGY LIMITED (TSX VENTURE:MNL) (the "Company") announces the
resignation of Ian Lambert from its Board.


"We appreciate that Ian's growing responsibilities with other companies with
their overseas activities, make it increasingly difficult for him to devote the
time necessary to Monarch.


The Company wishes to thank Ian for more than eighteen years of strong support,
and expresses its gratitude for the contribution he has made during that time.
The other directors join me in wishing him well in his future endeavours," said
Kaare Foy, Monarch's Executive Chairman.
