Val-d'Or, Quebec, October 1, 2013, - Knick Exploration
Inc. (TSX-V: KNX)
is pleased to report that after manual
stripping to
expose "Vein No. 6",
twelve of thirteen samples
taken returned gold.
Chip samples of the veining
include 51.20g/t over
0.20m, 18.00g/t
over 0.15m,
13.54g/t over
0.15m, 2.78g/t
over 0.15m, gold. Three
samples of the veining
returned anomalous gold, greater
than 0.11g/t.
A grab
sample of the granite wall rock
assayed 3.02g/t
and three other
grab and one chip
sample of the granite returned
anomalous gold, greater than 0.22g/t.
Visible gold was
noted in the sample that ran
51.20g/t. It was analysed
using the metallic sieve method.
The 51.20g/t gold
assay is the combined plus and
minus fraction from the metallic sieves
procedure and includes for this
sample: Minus 100 mesh
weight of 3156.10g, assays
of 33.77g/t, 34.53g/t
and 34.51g/t gold and
plus 100 mesh weight of 14.33g, assay of
3,806.09g/t gold
resulting in a final weighted assay of 51.20g/t gold.
The results indicate a positive gold "nugget effect"
in the sample.
Grab samples are selective by nature
and are unlikely to represent the average grade of the mineralized
zone
The
manual stripping and
sampling was performed
this summer on "Vein No. 6" in the Chib-Kayrand Area
of the Trecesson Property. It
was performed
as follow
up to grab sample assays 6.10 g/t, and 4.63g/t, gold obtained during Knick's
preliminary work in the spring of
2013 (previously reported June 25, 2013 press). Stripping
traced the veining
for 40.0m.
Samples were sent
to Expert Laboratory
in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec for analysis.
Fire
assay and metallic sieve methods
were implemented for analysis.
Standards and blanks are submitted
by Knick routinely to insure quality control.
The
Chib-Kayrand Area
is located in the
east part of
Knick's Trecesson property. The
property covers most of the Trecesson Batholith which
has similar
characteristics to the Bourlamaque Batholith of
the Val d' Or mining camp. It is
located 12 km from the town of Amos and
approximately 65 km
north northwest of Val d'
Or. The Trecesson Gold Property is traversed by
paved and all weather gravel roads making it accessible year
round.
