Entourage Metals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:EMT) (the "Company") is pleased
to announce that drilling has commenced at the Black Raven project
in the Hemlo Region of NW Ontario. This initial phase will include
up to ten diamond drill holes totaling 2,000 meters. Drilling will
initially target areas of high grade rock and soil samples,
including the Super G Prospect which returned values that included
734 g/t and 150 g/t Au from quartz vein outcrops (see NR EMT 2011
NR#10). The Super G Prospect, a shear hosted target within mafic
volcanic rocks, has limited exposure on surface. Drilling will also
target anomalies elsewhere on the Property, including soil
anomalies associated with the Beggs Lake Stock.
Results from soil sampling at the Black Raven Property, have
identified several areas of anomalous gold as well as associated
pathfinder elements (principally arsenic (As), antimony (Sb) and
molybdenum (Mo)). These anomalies are associated with and are
proximal to the Beggs Lake Stock. Laboratory assay results from
recent soil samples range between detection limit to values as high
as 870 ppb Au (0.8 g/t). The highest value soil sample (870 ppb Au)
is associated with the southern margin of the Beggs Lake Stock.
Pathfinder elements associated with the soil samples (As, Sb, and
Mo) show spatial correlation to these gold anomalies.
The Black Raven Property is located near the northwestern margin
of the eastern portion of the Schreiber-Hemlo greenstone belt in
Northern Ontario, 14 km northeast of the town of Marathon. The
Property is accessible via helicopter and floatplane, and from a
logging road which connects to the Trans-Canada Highway.
A comprehensive QA/QC program is in place to monitor the
precision and accuracy of the assay results. All soil and rock
samples are submitted with certified reference materials. Soil
sample duplicates are routinely collected, and pulp duplicates are
obtained for both soil and rock samples. Soil samples are analyzed
by AGAT Laboratories using an aqua regia digestion. Rock samples
are analyzed by ALS Minerals; gold analyses are by fire assay using
a 30 g charge and an atomic absorption spectrometry finish. Gold
assays greater than 10 g/t are routinely re-assayed using a
gravimetric finish to confirm initial atomic absorption results.
Both AGAT and ALS laboratories are ISO 9001 accredited.
