ANCASTER, ONTARIO announced today that it's wholly-owned subsidiary Cleanfield Energy Corp. ("Cleanfield") has received orders for six new V3.5 turbine installations with an expected follow-on order of another ten resulting from sales in the commercial, governmental and educational sectors. In addition, Virginia Tech is currently installing one Cleanfield V3.5 at their campus. Cleanfield's largest distribution partner Two-West Energy Group has indicated they will begin placing orders related to their Letter of Intent for 3,000 units over the next 36 months within the coming weeks. Fulfillment of these orders and installations of the Cleanfield V3.5 is expected to occur over the next few months.

In the governmental sector, Cleanfield has shipped one unit to the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) in Thunder Bay, Ontario, through its local dealer in that location, I&M Electric. This turbine will provide power to one of MTO's remote airport locations in Northern Ontario. Cleanfield has also sold a 3.5kW inverter to Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), which is expected to be installed at the Atlantic Wind Test Site in Prince Edward Island. An additional installation of note is that with the Wind Energy Institute of Canada (WEICan), a government funded non-profit R&D institution with a nationwide remit (see Cleanfield media release 01/11/08). This installation will take place within the next few months and will involve type testing in accordance with nascent North American small wind standards. The ultimate purpose of this is to achieve certification of the turbine through the newly formed 'Small Wind Certification Council'.

Activities in the educational sector are also on the rise. Cleanfield is currently working with Mohawk College of Hamilton, Ontario, to install two Cleanfield V3.5 wind turbines on the rooftop of their STARRT campus in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Cleanfield also intends to work with Mohawk College for more opportunities at their other campuses. Cleanfield will also be working with Elliot Lake Secondary School of the Algoma District School Board in Northern Ontario to install one Cleanfield V3.5 wind turbine to promote clean, renewable energy.

Cleanfield's Canadian dealers including Grainstoves Inc., I&M Electric, Hybrid Eco Watts, MBF Alternative Energy, Novenco Consultants Limited, and Second Source Power will each be installing turbines at their business locations over the coming months, adding visibility of Cleanfield's product to consumers.

"All of these activities display the increasing desire of Government bodies and educational institutions to demonstrate environmental commitment and innovation. Installation of the Cleanfield V3.5 will not only provide these groups with clean power, they will also further the visibility and commercialization of Cleanfield's product in an increasing and competitive industry" commented Tony Verrelli, President/CEO of Cleanfield.
