Sun Media Extends Community Newspaper Network

Sun Media Corporation announces the launch of four new community newspapers serving more than 400,000 homes in Ontario. The new weeklies will begin arriving on doorsteps in Ottawa, Windsor, Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph by the end of March, further strengthening Sun Media's position as Canada's leading newspaper publisher.

Sun Media's new weekly community newspapers will now package local news, unique access to life moment celebrations, regular editorial features, flyer distribution, opinions, photos and much more, all in one exciting readership package!

Local community engagement will be considerable with numerous opportunities for readers to submit content, comment on news and respond to advertising partner messaging. Coincident with this announcement, Smart Shopper products in these markets will cease production with many resources transitioning to the new weekly papers.
