Before that, Belfiore was Advanced Development Manager at the Microwave Communications Division of Harris Corporation, an international communications technology company. Belfiore is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) and an early contributor to the IEEE 802.16 standard.
