--Telecom Italia's main shareholders Vivendi and Elliott Management Corp. are preparing to reach a compromise over board representation at the indebted Italian telecoms operator, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The agreement between the two shareholders would include a pledge to pursue a "common strategy" for Telecom Italia, Bloomberg writes.
