Explanation of Responses:

(1)

Pursuant to an Amended and Restated Contribution and Support Agreement, the Reporting Person transferred and assigned its 13,125,000 Common Units of Beneficial Interest of SandRidge Permian Trust to Montare Resources I, LLC ("Montare") in exchange for, among other things, (i) a limited partnership interest in an affiliate of Montare, (ii) the assumption of certain liabilities of the Reporting Person and its affiliates, and (iii) Montare's discharge of certain outstanding debt of the Reporting Person and its affiliates.
