As reported on February 12, 2008, GMH Communities Trust has entered into a securities purchase agreement with a U.S. subsidiary of Balfour Beatty plc for the sale of the Company's military housing division, and a merger agreement with American Campus Communities, Inc. relating to the acquisition of the student housing division.
