ScanSource North America Announces Web Store for Mobile Data Collection Applications

ScanSource® POS & Barcoding North America, the leading international value-added distributor of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) and point-of-sale (POS) solutions and services and sales unit of ScanSource, Inc., (NASDAQ: SCSC), has announced an innovative web store, AppSource(TM), that gives resellers convenient access to a library of mobile data collection applications for a range of devices by multiple manufacturers.

With AppSource, resellers have access to “off-the-shelf” mobile data applications that they can provide as-is or easily customize to fit their end-user customer’s needs. They can also configure host communications, simulate the application on a PC, load and test the application on a mobile data terminal, and run the application on-site for evaluation, all at no cost. Once the solution is ready for implementation, resellers then purchase the appropriate licensing option and activate each terminal for use.
