EXPLANATORY NOTE

This current report on Form 8-K/A (“Amendment”) amends the current report on Form 8-K filed by Malacca Straits Acquisition Company Limited (the “Company”) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 17, 2022 (the “Original Filing”).

              This Amendment is being provided solely to correct a clerical error which resulted in an incorrect document being filed as Exhibit 3.1 thereto. Exhibit 3.1 hereto supersedes and replaces in its entirety Exhibit 3.1 to the Original Filing.

              This Amendment contains only the Cover Page to this Form 8-K/A, this Explanatory Note, Item 9.01, the Signature Page and the correct Exhibit 3.1.

              This Amendment speaks as of the original filing date of the Original Filing and does not modify or update in any way disclosures made in the Original Filing other than to correct the exhibit.
