On December 19, 2008, Tower Group, Inc. (“Tower”) and CastlePoint
Holdings, Ltd. (“CastlePoint”) issued a joint press release announcing
the record dates and meeting dates relating to the merger of CastlePoint
with and into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tower, as previously
announced on August 4, 2008. A copy of the press release is attached as
Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference to this
Item 8.01 as if fully set forth herein.
