Click Part of Oracle Team Chosen to Update Global Logistics Systems Click Commerce, Inc. (Nasdaq: CKCM), a leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions, has signed a contract with the U.S. Air Force to provide Click Commerce Parts, the Company's service parts optimization and planning solution, for the Air Force's Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS) program. The system will support the entire Air Force - providing a single, easy-to-use interface for 250,000 users. As Click Commerce previously announced, the Air Force's Electronic Systems Center's Development and Fielding Systems Group awarded the contract for commercial software supporting the ECSS program to the software team of Oracle, Click Commerce, and IFS. The Click Commerce Parts solution will deliver software for Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) and Advanced Planning and Decision Support (APS) to ensure weapons systems availability while reducing inventory levels in the Air Force's service supply chain. "The mission critical responsibilities of increasing combat effectiveness make the scope and magnitude of the Air Force's logistical network one of the most complex supply chains in the world," said Nancy Koenig, executive vice president of operations for Click Commerce. "The selection of Click Commerce came after a multi-year evaluation by the Air Force, and it confirms the market-leading position of the Click Commerce Parts solution." "We were called upon to deliver a comprehensive software solution that would achieve the goals of the ECSS program," said Mark Testoni, regional vice president, Public Sector Application Sales at Oracle. "We turned to Click Commerce because they have a robust, integrated, Readiness Based Sparing and Advanced Planning Solution for the aerospace and defense market. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Click Commerce to support the transformation of the armed forces and enhance the agility of our warfighters." The Air Force established the ECSS to improve weapons systems availability by streamlining current Air Force Logistics process. The system includes Click Commerce's Parts solution, Oracle's Enterprise Resource Planning software and IFS' Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul solution. ECSS will replace and perform the functions of more than 500 logistics systems currently used by the Air Force. The new software will allow commanders at all levels in the logistics chain to automate the process of gathering logistics data, interpreting that data, and make effective decisions. "The Air Force can no longer view logistics processes in terms of functional areas but as a single integrated logistics enterprise," said Col. Thomas Hamilton, ECSS program manager. "ECSS will combine the hundreds of programs that make up the Air Force logistics process, which provided only fragmented insight into the logistics chain, into one integrated and interoperable system." The Click Commerce service parts optimization and planning solution is a strategic part of the internal service and aftermarket businesses of industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Delta Airlines, Air France, FedEx Express, Honeywell, Aviall, Goodrich, and the Canadian National Defense. This Web-based solution supports performance-based logistics (PBL) contracts, which enables customers to achieve weapon systems availability targets while maximizing profitability. Click Commerce expects to realize several million dollars of license revenues, and a similar amount of maintenance and professional services revenues, related to the U.S. Air Force contract over several years. The Company expects to recognize a small percentage of that by the end of 2006. About Oracle Oracle is the world's largest enterprise software company.
