Brooke Savings Bank Announces 2008 Year to Date Report

PHILLIPSBURG, KS , reported on its operating initiatives for 2008.

Brooke Savings Bank completed its Bank of the West acquisition on January 18, 2008. The Brooke Savings Bank's network began 2008 with two bank agents and as of May 1, had grown to 54 bank agents in 56 locations. The bank's total assets grew from $46.7 million at the start of 2008 to $134.8 million as of April 30.

"We achieved several notable accomplishments in the first part of 2008," said Rebecca Post, president and chief operating operator of Brooke Savings Bank. "We are looking forward to more positive achievements through the remainder of this year."

Brooke Savings Bank's Phillipsburg, Kan., office has been expanded to process all daily bank operations including incoming calls from agents and customers, loan payments and deposits and agent correspondence. The Phillipsburg office recently hired three new staff members as part of the expansion. Two new loan officers were hired to work in Brooke Saving Bank's Overland Park, Kan., office, where all loan officers and loan decisions will remain.
