(e) On September 14, 2007, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Avici Systems Inc. approved an increase in the annual base salary of William J. Stuart, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, from $280,000 per year to $294,000 per year. The salary increase is retroactive to September 1, 2007.
