(NASDAQ:AINN) today announced several new product enhancements that deliver rapid notification of remote site alarms and greater network and user security for providers of critical communications infrastructure. The enhancements are part of the Applied Innovation (AI) comprehensive remote site management solution and involve several of the company's flagship products: -- AIdirector(TM) version 2.1 - The base platform of the company's regional operations management platform has been enhanced with the ability to restrict visibility and control via customer-defined user groups; viewing and/or action assignments can be restricted to specific equipment, sites, and regions. In addition, the product's ability to report the status of AI products has been improved, giving a consolidated view of all AI and non-AI technologies. -- Event Director version 1.1 - This add-on application for AIdirector now supports SMS & email event forwarding so field technicians have increased flexibility with regard to how and when they receive important alarm and event notifications. -- SecureSite Director version 1.0 - This new add-on application for AIdirector provides monitoring and control for remote IP cameras and door/window alarms, plus a secure and centralized location for captured images and video collected from numerous sites. When combined with Event Director, technicians can receive SMS or email notification when a remote camera detects motion and can immediately access stored or live views of any camera's footage. -- AIremote(TM) version 2.4 - The latest release of AI's remote site management appliance has been enhanced with support for TACACS+ AAA network security and 802.1q VLAN tagging; both features allow the product to be used in a wider set of secure network applications demanded by today's global operators.
