                        Purchase of shares by Directors



The Company was notified on 16 April 2003 that on that date certain of the
directors of the Company and parties connected with them and Simon Grinstead,
consultant, have acquired, in aggregate, 212,500 ordinary shares of 5 pence each
in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 0.28 per cent.
of the issued share capital, each at a price of 11.05 pence per share.  The
individual purchases by directors and advisers and parties connected with them
and their resultant holdings are as follows :
