/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At the 58th Annual Scientific Session of
the American College of Cardiology (ACC) from March 29-31 in
Orlando, Fla., at booth #1842, Siemens will present enhancements to
their syngo(R) Dynamics solution. The newest, version 8.0(1), is
designed to offer even greater efficiency, accuracy, and increased
capabilities for clinical procedures in the fields of
cardiovascular imaging, vascular ultrasound, general imaging, and
OB/GYN. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080617/NYTU025
) syngo Dynamics is a comprehensive multi-modality diagnostic image
review and evidenced-based reporting system incorporating decades
of Siemens experience in both clinical and administrative
workflows. The solution focuses on dynamic image clip review and
reporting for ultrasound and cardiovascular imaging modalities.
"Our customers are asking for increased capabilities and expanded
use of our Cardiovascular IT solutions in order to continue their
productivity growth while maintaining ease of use," said Jurgen
Kress, senior vice president, Imaging Management, Image and
Knowledge Management Business Unit, Siemens Healthcare. "Therefore,
we are building upon the success of syngo Dynamics to include
features that focus on trends we see in the marketplace. Version
8.0 will offer new and optimized tools for the referring physician
and for obtaining key department operational metrics." New features
support efficiency and increased capability The upcoming new
version 8.0(1) will include features to enhance the cardiology
department workflow and address market demands. For example, a tool
designed for administrative reporting of key performance
indicators, such as resource utilization and physician
productivity, will allow for greater transparency and support
proactive department management. In addition, a new scheduling
option allows users to better manage resources in cath and echo
labs. In this version, the remote viewing application(2) was
re-designed to provide a similar look and feel of the workplace.
The application offers a high level of performance - even in
low-bandwidth settings, making it possible for physicians to
conveniently access images from nearly any location. Finally, in
order to maintain continuity in the core applications, version 8.0
is based on Microsoft's latest Server 2008 and SQL 2008. This new
version extends from the current version 7.0 of syngo Dynamics,
which offers immediate data transfer between Siemens AXIOM Sensis
XP hemodynamics monitoring systems and syngo Dynamics reporting and
image management solution, as well as the ability to incorporate
data from the GE MacLab v6.5 Hemodynamic system to support a
multi-vendor environment. Version 7.0 also includes a graphical
reporting element to produce coronary tree diagrams, allowing
clinicians to rapidly build a representation and text of the
diagnostic results and summary of any interventions performed. In
addition, this solution provides a 17-segment wall-scoring model to
match the most current clinical standards. The Siemens Healthcare
