Business Wire
Willtek Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wireless
Telecom Group, Inc. (Amex: WTT), today announced the Willtek 2303
Stabilock, a mobile station tester for TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked
Radio) compliant handsets within the Professional Mobile Radio
(PMR) market. The Willtek 2303 Stabilock is the first mobile
station tester tailor-made for the TETRA handset service
environment. Providing a comprehensive set of tests for TETRA radio
service, the unit is portable, lightweight and can be battery
operated. TETRA is the global standard for public safety and
security communications systems, including government,
transportation, and other commercial applications. There are
approximately 200 TETRA-compliant wireless networks in 88 countries
worldwide. The largest service penetration is in Europe, where
TETRA is the basis for several national public safety networks,
while the fastest growing regions are Asia/Pacific and Latin
America. Deployment of TETRA-compliant handsets is expected to
increase at double digit rates, fueled by the need of governments
to provide failsafeand higher performance digital communications
networks. The German government recently announced plans for a
nationwide TETRA network while the Chinese government is doubling
the size of its Beijing TETRA network in support of the 2008
Olympic Games. Monty Johnson, CEO of Wireless Telecom Group,
states, Our company excels in developing and delivering mobile
handset test products that satisfy the after-sales service and
repair needs of mobile network operators and handset manufacturers.
We accomplish this by focusing on the unique needs of the segment,
including such requirements as portability, ease of use, and
price/performance balance. In so doing, we drive to achieve the
perfect fit for our customers applications. This enables our
customers to provide the highest level of performance, with the
right capabilities they need to get their jobs done. Continues
Johnson, The 2303 Stabilock builds upon 40 years of leadership in
public safety solutions and special purpose wireless communications
technology. Along with the recent release of the 8140 TETRA
AirAnalyzer, we are increasing our presence in the rapidly growing
market for TETRA equipment. We look forward to bringing these
innovative tools to our customers. Willtek is currently displaying
the unit at the TETRA World Congress in Madrid, Spain. First sales
are expected later this year. About Wireless Telecom Group Wireless
