PR Newswire (US)
SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental
Tectonics Corporation's ("ETC" or the "Company") BioMedical Systems
Division today announced that they have contracted with Life
Support Technologies, Inc. ("LST") for the delivery of two
BARA-MED(R) XD monoplace hyperbaric chambers to Centrastate Medical
Center in Freehold, NJ. Acting as a management group for the
hospital, LST selected ETC BioMedical due to its technological
leadership. Like all hyperbaric chambers designed and manufactured
by ETC BioMedical, the units shipped to Centrastate will contain
BARA-PRESS(TM), a Windows-based software control system with full
manual override. This system serves to maximize operational
efficiency and enhance patient comfort and safety by allowing
chamber technicians to focus their attention on patients, not on
the equipment, clock/timer or records keeping. The delivery of the
two BARA-MED(R) XD chambers will mark the beginning of Centrastate
Hospital's hyperbaric medicine department. Centrastate is a 271-
bed teaching hospital offering a full complement of inpatient and
outpatient services. LST is a leading supplier of hyperbaric
technology and services in the New York and New Jersey areas and is
committed to increasing the utilization of clinical hyperbaric
technology through advancing medical science and solid engineering
practice. ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew
training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation
systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric
systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related
products for domestic and international customers. This press
