Bartercard Real Estate launches in the UK



Bartercard has today established a new, wholly owned subsidiary in the UK,
Bartercard Real Estate (BCRE).



BCRE is designed to give property buyers an advantage in what is often a
volatile sector. Under the BCRE system, a deposit of 25% - 50% on a property,
paid in trade pounds, results in the buyer ultimately paying for a large portion
of the property with goods and services. The concept of Bartercard Real Estate
has been established in Australia for almost a decade where A$2.5million of
property deals were signed last month alone.



BCRE already has a large number of properties listed, and has numerous contracts
signed and settlements imminent. Current property stocks are valued at #3.5m.
Buyers will also have access to the hundreds of properties listed for sale by
Bartercard's overseas operations. Bartercard is currently negotiating with
various banks to provide facilities to Bartercard members to make the process of
purchasing property with BCRE even more appealing and desirable.



Mr Tim Ashley-Sparks has been appointed Managing Director of BCRE. Tim, who is
the current franchisee for Beds, Bucks and Herts (BBH), one of the country's
fastest growing franchises, will be selling his franchise in order to
concentrate on BCRE full time and he is already negotiating with numerous
developers and agencies for additional listings for this new division.
Bartercard UK will purchase the BBH Franchise.
