hire of a new North American General Manager in a move to
strengthen product development, marketing and business-to-business
initiatives to encourage growth in the North American region,
particularly in the music product category.
Richard Sargente recently joined
Jabra and brings more than twenty years of high-level sales
experience in the consumer electronics industry to the company. For
more than two decades, he has successfully led sales programs for
top consumer electronics companies, such as Panasonic, Phillips,
and Sharp Electronics. Most recently, Sargente served as the VP of
North American sales for Skullcandy for nearly four years.
Sargente brings invaluable insight into the consumer lifestyle
market, benefiting efforts as the company continues to expand its
line of music headphones and speakers, as well as mono Bluetooth
headsets for communications.
In his short time at Jabra, Sargente has expanded the company's
North American sales force, adding three key hires that will help
manage and strengthen relationships with both national accounts and
carriers. Steve Hall, Director of
National Accounts, has been appointed to grow relationships with
national retailers, bringing extensive experience in the
accessories market following nearly five years at Riot
Outfitters. Keith Torrico and John
McMurray both join Jabra from Skullcandy and will manage
channel accounts in their new positions.
