Northwest and Delta Receive Government Approval for Codeshare Expansion on Trans-Pacific Flights

Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) today announced government approval
to expand its codeshare flights with Delta on all Northwest
trans-Pacific flights. Northwest will also add Delta to three of
Northwest's Narita-Asia routes. Effective for travel beginning
August 30th, 2008, expanded Northwest and Delta codeshare markets
include trans-Pacific travel from Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul and
Honolulu. The expanded codeshare markets will augment existing
trans-Pacific codeshare flights from Portland, Seattle, San
Francisco and Los Angeles. "These additional codeshare flights will
expand travel opportunities for Northwest and Delta customers,"
