TRAFFICMASTER'S SMARTNAV TO BE AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION ON ALL MAZDA MODELS

Trafficmaster plc announces that Smartnav, the award-winning system that
combines state of the art satellite navigation with Trafficmaster's traffic
information, is being made available by Mazda Motors UK Limited as an approved
accessory across its entire UK model range.

Smartnav, which is one of the world's most advanced navigation systems, provides
up-to-the minute traffic information with route re-calculation, 24-hour
emergency & breakdown support, Stolen Vehicle Location (a vehicle tracking
service) and Safe Speed (a safety camera alert system). The product will be
available to Mazda drivers as an after-market accessory through Mazda's network
of 130 UK dealerships. This latest announcement follows similar deals with
other leading car manufacturers including Chrysler & Jeep, Peugeot, Hyundai and
most recently, Mitsubishi. Smartnav recently won the Auto Express Accessory of
the Year 2003 and the "Best Buy" award from the Consumer Association "Which?"
magazine.

Philip Waring, Managing Director at Mazda Motors UK Limited, comments:

"Mazda prides itself in exceeding customer expectations and we believe that
Smartnav also employs this philosophy. We highly regard the acclaims that
Smartnav has received in the industry and we can be certain that Smartnav will
provide our customers with a high quality, desirable navigation tool."

Going forward, Mazda anticipates that it will sell over 38,000 vehicles across
the UK in 2003, and will offer Smartnav as an option on all new cars sales. The
launch of the new RX8 in October 2003, will provide more opportunities for
Smartnav.

David Martell, Chief Executive of Trafficmaster, says:

"The addition of Mazda to our list of motor manufacturers now offering Smartnav
is a further positive signal that Smartnav is rapidly becoming recognised by the
industry as the leading product in the satellite navigation marketplace."

About Smartnav

Smartnav combines the very best in navigation technology with the personal
touch. Simply press a dedicated button on the car's dashboard and you are
connected to one of a team of PA's, trained to locate your destination and
assist with a wide range of motoring needs, 24 hours a day. In just a few
seconds, the route is calculated and downloaded to your in-car Smartnav unit,
which provides you with clear turn-by-turn spoken instructions directly to your
destination. Every route is calculated using Trafficmaster's own live, historic
forecast and incident based traffic information, to provide the optimum route
for each journey. Should a problem occur whilst en route, Smartnav will
automatically offer you a quicker alternative route, if one is available.

Smartnav also provides SOS support and has recently launched two optional
subscription services, Safe Speed and Stolen Vehicle Location.

Smartnav can be purchased for #624 including VAT and installation. An annual
subscription providing navigation for one year is an additional #120 and for
four years, #350.
